Charlene leads the firm’s Strategy Development & Insights and Mergers & Acquisitions practices and brings 29+ years’ experience and expertise in global clinical research, formal training in leadership development and executive coaching, and an impressive track record of achievements in strategic development and operational execution.

Prior to joining CREO, Charlene served as Executive Vice President, Clinical Analytics for dMed/Clinipace where she was highly successful in the initiation and rapid financial, operational and leadership growth of the Global Clinical Analytics service line, resulting in a 3-fold increase in business, staff, and revenue within three years. She served as a key stakeholder on the executive team during the integration between dMed and Clinipace, leading efforts in operational integration strategy as well as data security/privacy strategy, development and operationalization of the Clarity ecosystem, a data aggregation and analytics solution.

Charlene’s career has encompassed leadership roles where her scientific and technical expertise, combined with her strong business strategy, operations acumen, and exceptional leadership talent, has driven success in industry leading companies such as IQVIA, Syneos Health, and PPD.

Charlene has an MBA from top-tier Kenan-Flagler Business School at The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and her Bachelor of Science in statistics from North Carolina State University. She earned a certificate in Executive coaching from the Center for Executive Coaching, consistently ranked as one of the best coaching certification programs in the world. Charlene has served as an adjunct instructor at Campbell University and Wake Technical Community College.
