Jeffrey brings a proven track record of success growing companies in the Research Triangle, across the US and internationally, helping them set and achieve strategic objectives.  Jeffrey has deep experience in strategy, sales and marketing, operations, process optimization and innovation.

Prior to CREO, Jeffrey was a fractional COO of a personalized food startup in the Research Triangle Park for two years, leading implementations of ERP, e-commerce and warehousing systems and designing and implementing internal processes and procedures. 

Prior to that role, Jeffrey was a senior director at RTI Innovation Advisors, where he worked with clients leading strategic and innovation-oriented projects.  Jeffrey won and led innovation projects for Fortune 500 companies, US Government agencies and major non-profits, leading to new products and services.  His strength is in the front end of innovation:  trend spotting and scenario planning, gathering customer insights using tools such as the customer experience journey, ethnography or jobs to be done, idea generation and prototyping.

Prior to RTI, Jeffrey founded and led OVO Innovation, a consulting firm focused on improving innovation capabilities of Fortune 500 companies.  With his co-founder, he developed the Innovate on Purpose methodology and led innovation programs and projects at Fortune 500 companies in consumer-packaged goods, high tech, insurance, finance, and medical device firms in the US and in Europe, Southeast Asia, the Middle East and Central America.

Prior to OVO Innovation, Jeffrey led sales and marketing for several funded startups in software (Qlik Software and iSeg) and led sales and marketing at Clarkston Consulting.  During his tenure, Clarkston was recognized three years in a row as an INC 500 fastest growing company.

Jeffrey started his career at Accenture.

Jeffrey earned a B.S. in Systems Engineering from the University of Virginia and earned an MBA from the University of Texas at Austin.  He is a recognized author of several books on innovation (Relentless Innovation) and strategy (OutManeuver) and regularly contributes to a blog about innovation (Innovate on Purpose).  Jeffrey is an adjunct professor at SKEMA USA where he teaches strategy consulting and AI courses to MBA students.
