Kurtis leads the M&A team for CREO, bringing 2 decades of M&A experience as both a consultant and internal leader in life sciences organizations.  He has extensive experience guiding organizations through M&A strategy development, target identification, due diligence, deal drafting, integration planning and execution, and TSA structuring.  While attempting to always focus on pragmatic solutions, Kurtis brings a bias for action in his approach to guiding organizations through any and all facets of a deal.

Prior to joining CREO, Kurtis served as the head of M&A for a $400 million life sciences research organization, where he built a new inorganic growth approach and led the company through several deals that significantly increased their profitable expansion into new market adjacencies.  Prior to that, he has served as an M&A advisor both in a large Big 4 firm and smaller consultancies.  He also taught project management and leadership courses at a Tier 1 MBA program.

He brings this varied and deep experience to all M&A projects, attempting to not only successfully meet the deal’s objectives but to also build internal capabilities that assure future deals are even more successful.

Kurtis has both a JD and an MBA from the Ohio State University, and a BS in Mathematical Economics from Baldwin-Wallace University.  He has also taught executive coaching programs on practical project management and storyboarding.
